Date Night / Parents Night Out

You guys know I always like trying new things and last summer we did something on a date night we have never done before… Get your mind out of the gutter, it was just a sailboat ride. BUT IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

I think it was even more fun because we were with a group have fun loving friends. We did the Sailing with Scott Sunset Cruise on Lake Ray Hubbard and we had an absolute blast and still talk about it and are making it an annual adventure!

I think this would make a really nice one on one date night as well if you are ever in the market for such a thing.

We set sail out of the harbor in Rockwall on a giant 50 person sailboat, we brought aboard our own wine, cheese crackers and snacks. We sailed around the lake for an hour and a half as we watch the sunset, even though it was in the middle of July it was surprisingly cool and beautiful weather!

You can jump on board with tickets for $30 a person but be sure to buy them in advance because most cruises do sell out. I understand that it’s not always easy to have a date night but if it’s important to invest that time (and sitter money) in time with your spouse, it can rejuvenate your marriage and sometimes be exactly what you need when you didn’t know you needed it. Happy sailing!
